I finally put the cap on the bottle. I finished my children's book two page spread for illustration class.
I am quite proud of it.

Creature/character design.

I am trying to have a character/ environment relationship. but kind of struggling.. any suggestions?

I am now trying out the painting style for my characters I made (updated: I smoothed out a lot of areas around the faces and pushed the values a bit more. still trying to refine it)

My teacher insisted that I ink it and mess with the colors (it was too purple for him) so Here is an edited version of the guy. Enjoy!

My studies.

Like a student needing a master, my teacher suggested to study the painting style of Sam Nielson's Work.
So I opened up his blog and chose one of his simple pics and tried replicating it. Here is the work in progress( clicking on his name get you to the one I am working on.) This character is in no way mine. I am not sure if it's Sam's Character or Joe Olson's either way all credit goes to the actual creator.

A Cold Night's Breeze.

A cold wind blows deftly through the tree, but the tree does not bend to its will. It grows strong and proud, never wavering.

Still haven't hit the mark yet..

New Laptop!

I finally got myself my own personal laptop. Seeming as I have to return the school issued one.

Just trying to transfer stuff on here now...

I finally got my laptop back so I can now post more art!!

Vacation time drawing slowly near to the end..

With that said title wise... I will post up some works in progress. (lots of em.) mostly digital works. 1. Good ol' spidey, 2. A quick sketch of my brother, 3. Joker, Bats and two-face, and finally my attempt to paint bruce lee.

Knife girl.

After being stuck in rain for the past couple of days, I've been wanting to paint. Still nothing has stopped my drawing. This piece I have done with no reference and did it on the spur of the moment. It's Graphite on Sketch paper 18x24.

I know the focus was not the knife. However I didn't really know what she would be holding at first.

Tried out Polypaint and changed to texture

It looks awesome!!

Zbrush!

After getting  a hold of Zbrush I started to play around and have a blast with sculpting in 3d!

I've been playing about for a bit.

Playing around.

I was wanting to test my new style with my photoshop painting.. eventually I want to play with Painter.. but one program at a time.

Also.. I want to see if I can get my hands on Zbrush... for my own sake.

This I wanted to get a cartoony feeling with all the vibrant color and personality for the character "bubbly" kinda  feel.

Coming to a close.

With Tuesday around the bend I start  packing up for home.

Art will continue.

As of today I am finishing up my Film and Graphic Design work. Then the rest of the day will be spent packing up all the stuff.

I will also be scanning in all my artwork up to this point from my sophomore year.

Till the day I arrive back I will be working.

Pirate Rum Project

In my Intro to Graphic Design one of our projects was to make a package and label design.

So I chose Premium Rum and it's theme: Pirate Rum!

So after playing around a bit with Adobe Illustrator and searching Goodwill I managed to make this:

With this I got a good critique due to my level of detail.

with this project out of the way and my Painting Critique next on the chopping block 

I only have a few projects needed to get out of the way (not to mention exams as well)

then I may rest my brain.

2 1/2 Weeks to go!

Down to the wire, keeping up with my homework and packing up my dorm room for the big leave on May 5th.

Offically Set up!

After a long time to find some time to set my page up.. I am now successful!

School is keeping me busy with work, however, 3 weeks to go before I can create personal work again!
